My recent videos goes into to detail about how to use aperture in landscape photography. You can view the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuCddD6gGIg&t=5s Aperture is an essentail aspect of landscape of photography that is much debated. It is important to learn how to use it correctly as it can really affect the final result. Essentially it depends on your lens but most lenses have a sweet spot from about F8 to F16. This is the point where the aperture allows the lens to see everything in fine detail. Lower F stops such as F1.8 to F4 allow for a shallow depth of field and therefore only a selected areas is in focus. This can be great if you are cretivley using depth of field. Higher F stops such as F20 to F29 are great for creating sun stars but diffraction kicks in to almost every lens and in doing so you loose a great deal of image quality.
